This forum has a problem

...and it's not the same problem that you find in the Main forum, either.

What's the problem?

So many ways to make money! My ADHD goes nuts in here! And the info is FREE! How cool is that?!

(Yes, there are the threads that are all theory/BS or whatever. I'm not talking about those. I mean the real money making methods and advice that are on here.)

I'm finding it so hard to stick to my main biz model. I want to do everythng! Gah!

But it's a great problem to have.

Other forums on the WF have people saying, "I worked for 2 years and made my first $1!"

Not so around here. Around here the problem is, "Holy cats! Where do I start?!"

It's a great problem to have.

most of Us maybe like this, but after they learn something, they will understand we need good step to build our bussines, so it need more time and effort

    until we got the "methode"

Your method comes from putting into practice the steps that are laid out. Action leads to success. Pick one and put it into use. Find out what works for you and replicate it. Set up a system to scale and then ramp it up.

Any method will work if you put enough work into it. The key is finding those that are efficient and effective in getting the results you want.

I love this forum, I am here religiously.

I started out bouncing back from the SEO forum, main internet marketing discussion forum, website design forum, and occasionally visiting the offline section.

NOW.. all I do is visit this forum... and rarely going to the others. This forum is the juiciest. The knowledge passed around in THIS part of the forum is insane compared to the rest.

So many different styles of offline businesses, techniques, and ideas that really gets your brain going.

      This is my biggest problem.

And I will add that the 'seasoned vets' here are some of the most helpful/knowledgeable people I have run across since coming online. The wealth of knowledge and experience is priceless.

      Thanks,

      John

I agree, it's pretty safe to say that without this section my only income would be Adsense and product sales, which would decrease my income by around 80% While also being 100% reliant on/ at the mercy of Google.

When I open my iPad this section is generally there staring at me.

What I was doing before being a regular here seems so amateur compared to now.

  • Hey Shay,

I've had the same problem until I realized that they all inter-connected with each other.

Meaning, the more you read, the more you research, the more WSOs you purchase, the more products you purchase elsewhere, you can FINALLY CONNECT THE DOTS.

Which means, you WILL have a SOLID business model from all the information you've gathered over the years (yes, it takes awhile to FIND all those missing pieces to finally piece together to make sense TO YOU -- not the authors -- but YOU)!

Once you've been able to that, well then, YOU'RE OFF TO THE RACES

Wishing everyone one here much success and/or continued success on your money-making journey!

    Onwards and Upwards,

    JMB

LOL I already have my main biz model. Very solid, very profitable.

My ADHD drives me nuts sometimes, though.

I thought so, Shay; however, I'm not sure about the others here though.

The reason for my compulsion to chime in here and to give MY perspective

YES! I agree! ADD / ADHD can be a hindrance, especially here in the Offline Forum

    Shay,

Great post. I agree with you. It's because of John Durham and this forum that I made my first real money in this new business of mine.

I love reading this forum because of the great ideas but I have put the new ideas in a box and sit on it. I am not allowed to start a new project untill I have finished the two or three I work with at any time

the problems arise when people try to carry out the ideas word for word rather than taking the general idea, maybe tweaking it a bit to suit their own needs and incorporating that within their overall business model.

I agree. I have too much stuff bouncing around in my head and so many possibilities that I find it hard to settle on one thing. There is just that much stuff here and I love it!

Not only does my ADHD kill me in here, but I have a successful service business of my own that takes up most of my time, so I have very limited time to implement anything, AND a million ideas distracting me in here. ADHD is an executive function disorder. So, I'm great with ideas, just not so great at execution, even if I did have a ton of time, though time constraints are definitely a killer.

Oh well, in due time I'll get it together and get something done to completion, or I'll figure out how to hire enough things out (marketing or my own businesses) to free up time to play in the marketing realm more.

Sometimes going on an information diet is a great strategy while you do actually implement something. For me, it wouldn't matter if I avoided this place. I have enough ideas that float around in my mind just from what I see in everyday life. They just don't stop.

Now here is the Money quote! Many - if not all - of us suffer from this syndrome.

You get deep in the middle of some project and stumble across something that, on the surface, seems to be better and easier than what you are currently doing. Shiny Object!

It takes a certain amount of willpower to resist these urges and mine is not always strong enough!

          Best,

I don't think lack of focus has affected me here. Besides, how would I know if I had ADHD?

To be honest, you can-hey is that a donut?

      Great post, Shay.

As an active "lurker" here, I gotta agree that offline is the best of the categories on this forum.

It is funny the difference in mindsets when you compare to the online and offline forums. When a new guy comes in the main forum and asks people questions regarding income, most agree it takes a lot of time to build any 4 figure a month income. And when someone makes their first buck (as mentioned above), they talk about how much time and work they did before they got that $1. Imagine if someone came on the offline forum and said "Just made my first $10 bucks! woohoo!".

With the right mindset, some focus, and hard work, there is no reason you couldn't easily pull in 4 figures a month during your first month using the information in this offline section. There are so many great contributors here. I myself have used the info to land a few clients on the side and make a little extra money.

Thanks to Shay and all the other who make the offline forum such a great resource!

Yeah... main online forum... It can take months for these people to make their first $100.

Here on the offline forum.. you can make $1,000 TODAY.

It is amazing how much info is available in this forum. And it's FREE!!!
The only logical (to me) solution to the ADHD problem Shay mentions
is to pick one shiny object and focus on that long enough to establish
an income. Then you can try the next one. Helps diversify your business
and you just might "fall in love" with one of them.

I came to "offline" after considering "online" as many do (I checked out Wealthy Affiliate which confirmed for me that affiliate marketing type stuff was not for me - although I do still have on the "ideas list" actual online businesses of my own that interest me).

I love the ideas on here, and I add to my archives all the time. For what it's worth, I've also very much benefited from a break from the forum entirely. Time in the "ideas factory" can start to become time wasted. Now I just go with how I feel. If I miss a few, I don't care. If I've got time, I'll hang out.
