Old Offline Method Working Fine (Again!)

Definitely an old method in action, but it seems now it's working better then ever - at least here, and for us.

You know the technique to check top 50 rankings for high ticket keywords and do a list of bad/not optimized websites so you can send them your pitch? Well, this week alone got 3 new contracts using this method.

To be honest we rarely do this, but this week decided to give a go (don't ask me why) and so far (Thursday 14.30) 3 new contracts in the go (still missing signatures). Just go to show stuff you have tried sometimes without success can be a nice income channel when you try it again, and again.

Definitely old school - but working just fine.

More to this: I just keep a .txt file with urls and contact emails, and send them a personalized message stating what are they losing, what they can get when optimized work is done (small list of proof URL's in Top 5), and that we're available to start project this week - with a discount if they get back to us in 24 hours (phone).

Nothing extraordinary.

Well, thats it. Hope someone else can give this a go and see good results too.

      Hopefully this is a kick start to some people, cause it's a damn easy/fast approach to those in the need.

    Fernando mind elaborating? Do you mean companies not in the top ten (say they are in position 20) and then show them top 5 ranked sites in other keywords that you have done or sites in their niche that you have not done?

      Basically that's it, but you can (should) test it out. This method allows plenty of room for testings... including one of my favorite techniques: dominate THEIR market with 1 site, and then approach companies showing them what we did in Google rankings - and we definitely can do the same for them.

      We also follow up people on the phone (after some sort of first contact), and this morning we discovered one of the contracts is NO go.

      Edit: What I mean is: you can test it put using your best cards. Have awesome designs? Show them. Have great SERP sites? Show them. You have to use your best skills. And some markets prefer "design" over "serp's"...

      Agree. That's one of the main issues for most of us: take action, repeatedly, testing different tweaks, different Subject lines, different copy, etc etc.
