Client Site, Mobile browser Issues....

Hi,

I have a client who's site I'm rebuilding to a new design. When I search via my phone for the client's business in Google, and then click on the google result to go to his site, it says:

"web page not available" etc

but when I go to his site directly (the URL) from my phone, it's all good....

And of course, I can access just fine (google or direct) from my normal PC browser.

What the????

Anyone have any idea what's going on here?

Cheers,

N

Add a no-cache meta tag into your header. It's very possible that google itself isn't reading it properly and needs to refresh itself.

Alternately, are you using a plugin to detect the mobile site? If so, maybe do more research, it's possible its giving a bad code out to google? (I wouldn't know without seeing it, just giving you a couple of ideas).

    Hi,

    Thanks for your help.

This is not a mobile site, it's just a regular site that I still want at least accessible from google.

I thought it might just be Google's cache, but I guess waiting there is all that can be done, and my client's not exactly the patient, happy type it seems...

    Anymore ideas?

Did you try adding the nocache meta tag? It would stop Google from caching it and force it to give the newest.

2nd - is it mobile friendly? Google might have issue with coding if you're trying to pull it up by search but its not working.
