Company Name - Ideas ?

Hey Warriors!

I'm brainstorming on some ideas to name my brand. I'm creating a web design company / website where I can attract customers and/or refer them to a portfolio, about page, contact page, etc. The usual.

The problem is that I can't come up with a good brand name for this project of mine. Any tips/suggestions for coming up with a company name for this web design project?

Thanks in advance for all of the help.

I've only got two ideas thus far, and I'm not too keen on them yet. Maybe let me know if you like them and/or elaborate?

Sorry! Company name has been removed in order to stop from clients being directed here via search engine.

Good idea. The thing is, I want to keep the domain open in terms of the services I may provide. Although I am going to focus my brand on outsourced web design, I may also use it to promote content writing and other misc. reliable virtual solutions in the future.

I appreciate the input and I would love it if others could post their thoughts as well below.

        Thanks!

If you can add your keyword in the company name, then it could be helpful to you. Remember, your name should not conflict with any famous name. You might receive legal notice.

Of course, haha. This is just a screen name I go by on WF because I like to remain anonymous and she's my favorite artist. My website is comprised of my real name.

      Thanks for the input.

Maybe name it something more personal? For example, I have always gone by MAV because they are my initials. So I chose MAV Web Solutions.

It isn't the best name but I like it. Just my 2 cents.

"Ambition" is something personal as it's one of my favorite words of all time and something that I strive to have. Thanks for the input.

I'd focus more on a brand name than keywords
have a think about what your goal is, mission statement, type of service you want to deliver and look those words up in a thesaurus, different languages etc until you find something that suits

Try to incorporate your name, or your specialty to a design terms. Just remember to make it catchy and sticky. What I mean about sticky is that it remains in people's memory. Any art terminology plus your name can be a good mix for your website.

And make the logo sticky and cool too!

Don't use keywords. Don't use the word SEO.

Try to think of something cool and not something dorky like everyone else is doing (like I did and am now too lazy to change).

I would not be focused on a business name, I would focus more on gaining clients. If anything, just use Morisette Marketing or something like that. Sometimes we focus on the most irrelevant things and forget that the most important thing is to gain clients.

As a fellow Canadian, my advice to you would be not to put INC in the name. This is short for incorporated and I would not incorporate your company at first. Why? Taxes done for corporations will run you minimum of $2500, whereas a sole prop taxes could only be $250.

I won't give advise, just what I do.

I detmine what my niche is, then use Google Keyword tool to see who is looking for the niche and see highest monthly searches for exact searches in your area.

Don't you think it would be better to put your company name in front of something that is already being searched for? Trust me, it is. Making a name you think is catchy will not help you get the needed push you're looking for.

I did this and found 35K exact searches for my niche and added a killer keyword behind it. It made a TON of difference.

    my 2 sense...

Thank you for the idea, but Morissette is not actually my last name. My username is a reference to my favorite musical artist, haha.
