Hello WF

Need some help. Have a client and we just started her facebook management.
Need some steps and help on getting local likes in our city for her.
Also my wife is starting to manage it because i still have a job.
I have tested fb ads. about $1 a like so far havent really tweeked.
Any help or direction would be great help also if there is a wso that outlines this that would be good to.
Will will eventually have all 70 locations for this store.
Will also be looking at out sourcing the work aswell.

Thanks
Steve

An Internet source that is what I call a real deal and I'm not getting a commission for this recommendation is Get 10,000 fans by Brian Moran. Google it you will find it. You get his program and you will get a great education on using Facebook. Brian is a great guy too and has a sincere desire to help people.

Social Media is a great service to offer local businesses. PPC is certainly an option, but you should also keep up with the posts, pictures, videos, etc. Make sure that the fan page has consistent updates that encourage conversation. This is the best way to get local "likes" inexpensively. Offer giveaways, coupons, discounts and you should be able to make the fan page pretty popular locally.

Find a program that has "sharegate" and/or a "like gate" feature.

The purpose of this is simple. You can offer things in exchange for likes, like coupons or some kind of cool thing that the business wants to offer like kebertt ^^ said.

Have them get a computer ready IN their business if it's a type of business where they service customers at the actual business.

Have the customers "like" the page in exchange for the thing of value (coupon..etc).

That's how you get the likes.

And agreeing with kebertt again, keep the page updated with interesting stuff to keep them sharing and coming back.

When you post, keep it fun and simple though.

Don'ts: "March is national dentistry month so make sure to get your cleaning"

Do's: "Check out this gnarly tooth here! Like this image if you want to keep away the cavity creeps or share it if you plan on getting your cleaning this month"

    Make it fun.

Also, find similar pages and see what they are doing. If you see a lot of likes on posts, copy the basic idea. If you don't see a lot of likes, do the opposite.

You need to use smart on the Facebook Ads. You might need to make your ads some entertainment of do have some giveaway in order for people to click on it and in the same times you need to have call to action in your ads.
Don't bid $1 per click that high while you might bid it with $0.10 range will do so you get more impression if people do not click on your ads.

what is your purpose of getting people to click "like"?

Also, what are your goals besides this? What I mean by this is once you have someone click on "like" then what? Are you trying to get them to buy something? Are you wanting to drive them into the store itself? What is your desired end result once they click "like"?

And finally, what can you offer up in exchange? Could you setup a free prize, or a discounted offer is people click like?

In my city Subway had a contest over one specific weekend. That 1 person in 100 for that particular Subway store would get a weeks free Sub's.

I don't know what niche the business is but if you tell us that might help out.

I will echo shane_k's sentiments. What is it that has you caught up on increasing their like number? At this point, social media campaigns are measured by how you can engage this business' customers and fans, not an exorbitant amount of likes that are never active with the business, in store or online.

Food for thought. Like most people have suggested, you need to show their target demo some sort of value or a reason why it is worth their time to engage.

95% of IM'ers have great relationships with clients who also advertise offline and with other people. Stop missing out on that cash and leverage into it. PM me if you are an established marketer and want to find out how.

Do people read questions, or do they just see words and start typing random thoughts in the blank space?
