Think of all the publicity they are getting from this.

Very clever. That's thinking outside of the box. I tried to scan the code from the image but could not due to the angle.

Tried scanning the picture on my screen: didn't work
Printed it to scan it: didn't work
Went to website to see if they linked to the website: failed again

I think in order to work from the image it would need to be a more vertical shot. As long as they were in the helicopter the should have taken a more vertical shot or at least take another one now from a plane. It would be more valuable to them if the code worked from the image.

Yeah I agree. Surprised they didn't hire out the copter and make the image themselves to be released in a press release. Would have helped get traffic.

Don't think that is the largest as I saw a billboard on an interstate with a LARGE QR code on it.

I think this is more than an acre big.

Never seen any billboards that large

I wonder do it work even we sit helicopter and try to scan it .
I believe this is just part of marketing which they not really want people to scan it , but is just away to build their brand name to go viral while everyone like you sharing it while thinking its cool.

Yes I'm sure they didn't do it for the benefit of the few people who would fly over and want to take a photo of it. It's all about publicity. When corn mazes for came out they were so unique that they generated a lot of publicity and attention. Now there are common enough that you need to be more creative to get attention and publicity.

This applies a lot or things. The key is to never stop learning, see what other people are doing and adapt it to your own business.

For example in this case if I was a baker I might create a cake with a QR code. Or someone might sponsor to make the worlds largest QR code made from people.
