Yeah, he was big on the scene when I started out in sales and public speaking. I would read his books in between cold calls, and I always had one of his tapes playing. (yes, they were tapes back then haha.)

Zig Ziglar comes up on top every time.

Yeah, there is a fine degree of separation from a great motivator, and a WORLD CLASS one... Zig was that World Class guy... Game changing guy....not your average sales trainer from Podunk Idaho...

Not to be jealous...

He was my first sales trainer in 1981! The four steps to closing:
1. Agree with
2. Isolate
3. Overcome
4. Close
Never fails...I trained over 500+ sales reps with this method...Rest in Peace and Thank you Zig!

I didn't know this was his (I'm not surprised though), I've trained probably just as many people with almost the same strategy for objection handling in B2C:

Yeah, RIP Zig. You were a true gentleman. I met the man in the early 80's at a NSA meeting. Just a great guy to listen to and be around.

Hey Claude, Claude isn't a funny first name. Did you know that in an ancient language Claude means one who is a true chief and leader of men?

Zig Ziglar was also an inspirational figure during my childhood since my dad liked him, it is shame.
I believe however the best we all should do is to follow Zig's advice and "Invest even harder in our Ventures"

I am sure he would have liked that as their fans..
