[Implementation Guide] Do These Always Work?

This is for you if you've been considering getting started big time in 2013 or if you've just not been able to get the results you're looking for, even though your heart is in it

Let's Talk About February 2013

At the time of making this post we had just started February of 2013. I want you to think about what you are going to do BETTER this year. January has already gone and people are starting to speak about Spring already.

2012

I wonder how many opportunities you missed in 2012? What do you regret personally and professionally? It can hurt to think about these things but if you don't it's easy to go through another year with the same attitude that 'if it ain't hurting badly, just let it be.'

In 2013, are you sure that you're going to have more free time, get bigger results, be happier and make more money from working with local businesses than you did in the last 12 months?

I sincerely hope so.

The best way to move closer to whatever dreams and goals you have, for you not to fall but experience more success on a more frequent basis is by not falling for the trap of the latest 'Offline' fad or getting caught up in the latest craze.

Tricks, Loopholes and ***holes

Even attempting to try the latest Offline "trick" or Google "loophole" is a complete waste of your time and a disservice to you and those you care about.

Could you imagine being 100% honest and transparent with your next offline client and telling them that you want to help them grow their local business based on the latest "Offline trick" you read about!

Or how about telling them that you're going to sell them a 'loophole' method that "Allows them to slap Google back!"

I didn't think you would, so why do YOU fall for all that hype? You're smarter than that.

My lines of local business consulting aren't on any 'Offline trick' and in the 5 years+ that I've been involved and teaching others, I can't recall ever using or talking about a 'trick.'

I've heard of literally hundreds of Google 'SEO and page 1 loopholes' but from what I read, Google wins every time...then its time for you to focus on the next trick or loophole being offered up by some other kind of 'hole'...yeah, that kind.

When you take your offline/local business consulting seriously there's nothing to "arbitrage" and no real secrets, just evergreen system that work every time.

All the things I saw other serious-minded people doing and that I too started doing 5 years+ ago was profitable back then and will remain profitable now and in the next 5 years+ in the future.

Strong Foundations or Bust

Build your business on strong foundations and everything will be much simpler with each and every month. You'll still need to keep your knowledge and skills current, but overall, you'll relatively little to learn because you'll keep repeating what works.

  • Taking time to build relationships works.
  • Understanding that not everyone will become your client or customer works.
  • Cold calling will always be a bad way to generate sales but good for generating leads if you feel you do have to cold call.
  • Understanding that your first job is to engage and not to sell will always work.
  • Being totally invisible to your most ideal offline customers will ensure you continue to struggle.
  • Being afraid of selling and wanting to do everything from behind your computer like that product you bought said you could will always work...in ensuring you don't make progress.

...the list goes on and on.

But the great news is that you can control each one of these activities. You can eliminate the challenges and do more of the ones that work.

It's a simple choice when you cut through the daily onslaught of 'hands-free offline consulting methods.'

This stuff (local small business consulting, IM and more) is in-demand, and highly lucrative for those who are serious. That demand isn't going anywhere but will remain only available to those who think like entrepreneurs.

Think and Act

Think and act differently to get different results in the next 30, 60 and 90 days (let anything beyond that go for now).

P.S. There's an audio implementation guide to go with this that provides some grounding information for offline consulting newbies. I will happily share it if needed and it will be helpful
