Was just checking out Alex Mandossian's audiogenerator.com and am considering using it for audio testimonials on my site.

Anyone use this and if so what are your thoughts? I'm not sure how easy it is to put these on a website.

Thanks.

Well you could do it yourself using a webcam with a microphone, or your Iphone/Andriod phone and record the testimonial

then use Audacity to edit the audio

there are a lot of tutorials on Youtube that show you how to add streaming audio to your website, whether it is a plain HTML site, or wordpress.

I don't know how much Audiogenerator costs (probably quite alot) so before you buy, I would look at a bunch of Youtube tutorials on the subject first.

You could save yourself a lot of money.

This is how easy it is to put audio on your website. I have the client call in a testimonial. (That's the hardest part.) Because they've called a Google Voice number, I can download it as a mp3. I also get a transcript, which may need a little editing, but it's mostly all done. The mp3 can be edited too. It gets uploaded. My wordpress site has an audio plugin. I simply need to insert one line of code where I want the audio to appear. Done.

Misterme, do you know the name of the plugin you use. The ones I've seen so far are like google mp3 player that are designed more for streaming longer audio, have more controls than needed for testimonials and take up too much space. I'm assuming the one you use is just a really basic player that maybe has start, stop and mute controls.

    Thanks.

    Misterme,

As a businessman, I'm sure you're concerned about your return on investment when sharing information. So let me assure you that for a small investment of only 15 seconds of your time, the payoff will be immense.

Sharing the name of your plugin would benefit you in several ways. Here's how:

    1. Helping someone in need would boost your self esteem and according to overwhelming scientific proofm those with higher self esteem are happier and more successful.
    2. It would increase your authority and position you as an expert on WF helping you to get more business.
    3. It would also position you as someone who cares about others thus increasing your trust and respect on WF helping you to get more business.

And since I know that all three of those are important to you, you can see why it would be in your best interest to share the name of your plugin. Do you agree?

After answering yes, the next step would be to share the name of your plugin.

PS Just imagine for a moment your message box and this thread overflowing with praise and thanks from all of those who will benefit from you sharing.

PPS If it were me, I wouldn't wait because there are many people on WF that understand the value of sharing information and someone else could take advantage of this incredible opportunity at any moment and you will have lost it forever.

Oh, that plugin. I wasn't sure what you were referencing there for a second. Because I did share it. You may have thought it was my signature in the post, but no. I was trying to be fun about it. You'll see the link to the audio plugin at the bottom most part of that post.

Yea I missed it. But it was a good exercise in copywriting any way. And I really need to work a little harder in that area.

If you are willing to close like that to get the name of a plugin
you should be able to do at least as well to get a 1k per month consulting gig.

The plug in I've used for my audio files is:

    PodPress.

    Here is the link:

    PodPress | Man Vs WebApp

This is great for audio and as an added benefit will post your audio files to RSS2, iTunes and ATOM and BitTorrent RS

I use this for all of my audios.
