Step 1. prospect business in the 7 box

Step 2. Sell them a one box service

Step 3. fire up senuke and add a their NAP to the articles in the blast, important not to do over 3 to 5 citations a day, use the scheduler.

You should one box it in 30 to 60 days.

Now at the risk of sounding stupid I'm going to ask this anyway because I'm pretty knowledgeable about marketing terminology.

What the hell are you talking about man hahah

What is a one box service and 7 box and all this?

A 7 box is the 7 Google +/places listing on any given local search serp.

A one box is when a Google +/places listing is the only one that shows on the serp.

When I said it was BS I didn't mean it wasn't real. I meant it was crap.

And what do you know, when I google it the first few things that come up is "one box listing scam"....show me the page that explains what a one box listing is....and regardless it doesn't sound like companies selling this one box listing are ethical.

You do know that they are taking about the Google APP not the Google+ local business listings, just keep assuming things and the only thing you will ever learn is nothing.

Wow I didn't know that! So how do you make a business be the only one showing up in the google places listing? I didn't know that was possible

Really nice to drop in and see.

This forum and its new users is turning into crap. This is the sort of thing that exemplifies precisely why I am spending less and less time here. A year ago and more, this forum was filled with exciting, driven, ethical people who gave a damn about others...now it's full of hustlers.

Now Jason, I wouldn't say that's fair. Sure, the marketing spammers are around and always will be. But there are still tons of good people with good ideas here.

I think you're wrong/overreacting here, I see great stuff posted here every day of the week, for free even in the offline forum... and also this tip wasn't so bad to my standards....

Like Snoop doggy-dog or dog EAT dog? :-)

And I disagree completely with what you said. You can absolutely maintain your integrity and not compromise your standards and still do quite well. Being aggressive does not have to mean being unethical.

Ethics are subjective because are you sure all tactics you employ are universally accepted as ethical?

Good point. If I am using the "jobless dad" interview method, and initially contact business owners to interview them when the ultimate goal is prospecting, that is not 100% true. Duly noted.

You ever do SEO? Did all your backlinks come in "naturally"? Or is it just "unethical" when other employ these tactics but not you?

If you don't do offline, don't post here, if you are considering doing "ethical" offline, don't, you will provide no result and be scamming your clients.

whyile your talking about eithical this and ethical that

most of the world is competing using all sorts of unethical strategies like bullying

so this is the world we live..

I remember when i used to compete in bodybuilding and steroids were all around me and I kept saying this is NOT fair its not ethical

in the end I realize if this is the game I choose to play than I have to do what I need to do to win

thankfully I just decided to OPT out

do you want to bully with me

depend on the average amount of citations in the box, I have did it in many competitive markets like law and dentistry in major cities, so it can happen just like anything else, is a matter of when.

If the listing is already in the seven box its optimized. all you are do is taking to the next level. yes just a correct NAP in a article that is related to the keyword you want a one box for.

I don't think I've ever seen a one box. Are they common?

Also, why would google give one company the only listing?

Their intention, so they say, is to always provide a great user experience. By providing a few options it seems that is what they are doing.

By creating a one box, they are doing the opposite.

I may be missing something but I don't quite get it.

I understand that it is an algorithm behind it all, but they own and control that algorithm.

Giving only one result just seems silly. Again, I'm probably missing something.

Do you have an example of a local search term that is currently showing a one box? I would be curious to see one.

I'm not sure if it is an easy service to sell as I have never tried to sell it. However, when it comes to selling online marketing services to offline businesses, if you can show the dollar value of your services in your sales process then your service becomes easier to sell.

Google + local optimization works in any country and is not restricted to the USA.

not directory listings like Yelp but other sites would I assume but just use a citation finder and see what Google is doing in NZ as far as citations.

Here is the problem with this IMO. There are guys like me, that will take accounts like this away from other marketers. We offer them Google Places, Social Media, Search and SEO campaigns. I have found that more business owners aren't going to hire one person just to do Google Places. ;-)

After they see the call/walk-in ratio for google+/places vs. other forms of localized advertising, the 7 box gets more traffic than the organic or paid combined and a one box gets most that would of been divided among 7, you offer social media but that is a waste of money for most local business the only real players in the game are Google search and online classified listings, everything else is very nebulous for most business.

I agree about getting my clients in the Top 7, that is a given. I think you are mistaken if you think Social Media Marketing is a waste of money for Local Businesses. When done correctly, it can be as effective as Google 7 Box. I know this first hand, my average clients pay $1,500.00 per month for Google Places, Social Media, Search/Content Marketing and SEO.

I think social media can be effective for a few business verticals just not all and I am sure if your clients are happy with it, nothing else matters because client happiness and retention is the life-blood of offline consulting business.

So, you sell it how? Get your competition out of Google?

    Never even thought of it.

You should one box it in 30 to 60 days.

Correct me if I am wrong...

It seems you are creating a one box, where one didn't exist before.
    Not changing a 7 box to a 1 box.

Doesn't this affect their G+ page? Since you will have citations pre-dominately for one keyword?
Their G+ page is usually built around at least 5 keywords....now you build a box around one.
Won't that make their existing box listing less relevant?

    What about keyword density?
Will they get slapped for highly targeting one keyword instead of spreading it out?

My other question is if we use senuke to do this, are we actually creating citations? I thought citations were basically the NAP on directory type sites, not just articles on various Web 2.0 properties that senuke would create?

I'm not sure about this but I am curious.

This is a very intersting idea because outsourcing senuke blasts is really easy to do, but in think there are a few more details missing on how to properly do this.

To the OP, have you actually done this? Not actually creating a one box, but simply improving clients rankings within the google + local rankings using senuke with their NAP in the articles.

      Thanks
