A new client I just brought on board wants to know what this means in Google Analytics? Can anyone help me explain it?

Google Adwords has two types of network, "Search Network" and "Content
Network." Once you tag your Adwords account to Analytics you will get
    the results displayed in Analytics.

"(content targeting)" is the clicks you have gotten from "Content
Network." "Content Network" are those sites which have been enrolled
    in to Google Adsense program.

Not Provided means it is a secured search in Google search engine it will not tracked by the Google Analytics.

This begs the question what is a 'secured search in Google,' doesn't it?

      • secured search are all searches made on an https search engine. When you are logged in to your Google Account, not that the url is https://www.google.... The keywords will be encripted and not available in Google Analytics.

Ironically, I was nosing around yesterday looking for something along these same lines. Apparently How to Unlock Your 'Not Provided' Keywords in Google Analytics is a work around to the "not provided" problem. Although I think it's more to give you better indication of what the keywords could be (not the actual keywords).

I don't know if it works, but I'll know more in a week or so as I set it up on one of my sites that was showing 28% of my keywords in the "not provided" category.
