Need help with a phone setup...

In my office right now I don't have any phone lines setup (using skype at the moment). I'm going to be doing some advertising and expecting inbound phone calls.. I'll be using local numbers and then forward them to my mobile for now, however, I don't want to do this long term.

Is there any options I can use outside of getting a line setup in my office? I don't expect to be there much longer so the upfront fees aren't really worth it.

Any VOIP services that don't require a phone (not interested in using Google Voice.) I would just use skype but apparently you can't forward local numbers to there.

I searched a lot on here and came across some cool services like magic jack, ringcentral and a few others but they require landlines.

    Grasshopper will suit your needs.

    Grasshopper

You can manage your entire phone setup via their interface, no hardware or contracts required. The base plan is $12 a month.

Not clear if you actually have a phone line or not, but you may want to look at twilio

You don't need a landline. Grab a local number from Twilio and forward the calls to your cell using twimlbin. It will cost you $1 per month for the number and 1 cent per minute for incoming calls.

Any VOIP service you choose along with a softphone will be able to answer incoming calls. Additionally if you have a VOIP hard phone you set it up to dial and receive calls like a normal landline.
