How I fixed the WP Pro Consult theme

I didn't know if I could post this on the thread itself, so I thought I'd try here for all those who were as frustrated as I was with the theme. It's a guy on fiverr who did a fantastic job - I ended up spending $25 to fix the main issues that I could find. Look for the name finnysamuel and buy his WordPress gig.

I had him fix 3 issues and the last one took him a while so he asked me if I would mind paying for two gigs. He more than deserved it and then I also "showed my appreciation" by giving a tip. There was an actual misspelling in the coding but he found it and fixed it. Now that he knows what to look for, he may not need the extra gig - I don't want to speak for him - but try to leave him a tip. I use fiverr a lot and he's by far the best I've come across.

Anyway, if anyone wants to post a link to this post on the WSO thread itself, feel free. I just didn't know if it would be kosher, so to speak. I do know there were a lot of frustrated people, and I was one of the supporters...initially.

This is what you should do.

    1. Inform the seller of the errors.

    2. Inform the seller that you have resolved the errors by doing xyz.

    3. S/he should then reimburse you plus give you a thankyou of some sort.

    4. S/he should then universally apply that fix to all buyers.

    Everyone should be happy.

This is what a successful company would do when glitches appear. eg Car recalls.

You can only do 1. and 2.

If they are professional and have any respect for their customers they will do 3. and 4.

This is bullshit and you have no idea what you're talking about. (Not a personal attack, but in reference to this product)

None of what you mentioned has had any positive result.

Problems with this theme have been unresolved for OVER A YEAR! I've bought everything pixelcrafter has ever released, and even the newest releases that are "fixed" DO NOT render on tablets properly.

Non native English support, 4 month lead time to push updates, shitty code, etc... Huge waste of time.

Don't worry, I don't take things that personally.

I was referencing the normal procedure in the commercial world.

If this person doesn't adhere to this type of thing then that rather sums him or her up.

It just seemed like an odd thread which is why I commented.

I bought abc off of xyz and this is what I paid to get it fixed so you can too.

The word refund is what springs to my mind.

This thread belongs in the the reviews section of the forums, not here.

On a personal note: Be careful buying WP Themes from any one on the forums.

Could I ask what the 3 main issues were? I have a site up and running with wp pro consult and just want to be sure there aren't issues that I'm overlooking.
