Contactor service areas

Question to the warriors,

How far do you think a contractor would travel for a job? Would 25 miles be the maximum distance a contractor would go to take a job? Or would it be farther?

Depends on where you live. Is it a suburban area? 25 miles is probably fine. Rural? 50 miles might be OK.

Well, it all depends on the profit potential of the job.
I'm a garage flooring contractor www.GarageFlooringAtlanta.com, I've driven 70 miles each way to look at and sell the job. This was a 1,200 square foot garage floor. So for me the drive was worth the risk on bidding for the installation. Which I did win btw.
So it really depends on what type of contracting and the potential profit margin.
Personally, I think it would be foolish for any contractor to put a 25 mile limit on the distance they would drive. But that's just my 2 cents.
