Opportunity Everywhere
One thing that all marketers forget is that opportunity is everywhere! Let me start by saying I worked for a local company providing high end website design and internet marketing services. The company is very successful and there is a lot of opportunity.
About six months ago a lead came in that invented a line of cow health products. I thought "Oh great, another person that has no money and is trying to get rich." I almost passed that client up.
Fast forward to now, the product is a success and truly works. But not only does it work it saves farmers tens of thousands of dollars (talk about a good sale).
After a few dinner meetings and approval from my wife I am now working for that company running online sales and marketing. I am working from home and estimates for yearly commision are well at six figures.
On top of that I am now able to sell my own website design and marketing services to offline businesses. To top it off I will still be doing work with my previous employer and clients.
Moral of the story? Even if a client seems to have no money or no potential please don't let that stop you. Remember you are not only marketing your business but also yourself. Businesses can come and go but your name and reputation remain!
