Setting up Paypal Buttons for Client

If a client wants you to set up Paypal Buy Now Buttons, how do you so without logging into their account?

I've only ever set up Paypal buttons to my own account. I'm assuming offline clients are NOT going to want me to log in to their Paypal account.

    Assuming you are not required to use an encrypted Paypal button, you should be able to easily edit the variables of the Paypal HTML code to include the client's Paypal email address, successful payment url and cancel url. Just look in the code for these variables and they should be able to be easily adjusted.

      I have had the same issue when setting up paypal buttons for clients. I always warn clients to be very careful about their sensitive passwords.

      The way I handle this issue is I ask the client to temporarily create a password for me while I create their buttons. When I am complete I then notify the client so they can change their password back to something only they know.

      Problem solved. Even when I say that to some of my clients they still insist they trust me, and they should. I still prefer to have a temporary password that way if for some reason someone does gain access to their account I can't be implicated.

      The main thing is having trust with your cliet. I always speak in terms of a long distance relationship when I do a job. If I create a button for them I make sure I let them know to contact me again when they need updates. If the updates are really simple I don't even charge them. I have found that helps me sell more services later on anyway. Win win business relationships are vital.

        Wouldn't Paypal log the IP/country of login for the Paypal account and notice something suspicious? From what I've learned about Paypal, there is no acceptable time to share one's password or allow others to login to Paypal, not even for a webmaster.
