Apologise for error

Ok, not a good start to my sms coupon service. I have had an issue with a long code I have, and it turns out I am not able to use it. But I have put it on all my flyers. I have handed a few hundred out. Nightmare.

Anyway, I was thinking of putting a post on my FB page apologising for the mix up, and for people to share my comemnt with the new long code for the people that used the wrong one (I have a short code AND a long code, giving people the option, as the long code comes out of their free texts, the short code does not). I might actually be able to use it to my advantage if people are sharing it. Anyway, what kind of wording do you think I should write the apology? Need to be professional, but also hold my hands up and say that it was a mix up.

Your expert help would be very much appreciated.

    What's wrong with the long code? It can't be fixed? You have to throw it away?

      unfortunately not. i have offered a free breakfast roll in the local sandwich shop, no one is taking up the offer said on FB for them to PM me their number so i can send them the free coupon

    Did you have both the long and short code listed?

    If so and no one is redeeming it would seem that the long code not working isn't the issue. Redemption from the short code would mean that the long code not working was the issue. What you are describing seems more like a non converting offer (could be a variety of reasons for it not converting). How many short code sign ups did you get?
