I talk in £ and this is what I think is fair but if you sell it this way, you're a commodity, I do it aswell I admit.

SEO - Min £300 per month onwards
PPC management - 15 or 20% management fee of total budget with min management fee of £150pm
analytics set up - One off setup £150
mobile websites - Should come standard as part of your normal design - £1000 - unlimited
social media management - £150 min
Email marketing - £200 email design - £50pm management etc

I'm probably coming across cheap but that's what I'm comfortable selling and what my clients
      can probably bear.

Sell the results and what you marketing services will achieve to stand out compared to someone just selling link building services.

From my experience, offline businesses love new customers. They're not too keen on "things" per se.

I usually sell "phone calls" with a custom spend depending upon whom I'm dealing with (type of client).

If you're doing one off's you should make referrals part of your compensation or even as a sort of ace up your sleeve.

Today, for example, I just collected $1000 for a direct mail sales letter, however, the customer has to refer 3 friends.

Hope that was worth my 2 pennies.

    Regards,

    Los

You just need something to get you in the door that you don't have to educate them on or explain a lot. Then "by the way" I also handle online marketing for my customers, or whatever.

Makes it easier to get their attention. Be their inbound marketing department.

      thanks for the replies.

I think 'reputation management' might do just the trick, I was reading a thread on here about someone who finds companies with bad reviews on yelp and offers to help them out.

Yeah, when you approach businesses try not to act like that good ol sales guy. Show them value and show them how can this benefit them both now and in the long run.

I offer a loyalty reward cards system for small businesses (in beta at the moment but have a bit of an uptake and the price is going to rise considerably during the middle of next year)

Set-Up Fee: £250 (includes design of cards, branded RFID card machine (I source for £20 each at the moment branded), installation and customisation of online management system)
Monthly Management Fee: £150 (includes 40 printed reward cards a month)
Additional Printed Reward Cards: £1.00 each (I print and dispatch each card in an envelope designed especially for the company. At the moment I make a very tiny loss on each card when I factor in printing, embossing and delivery but this is fine by me due to me making a considerable amount of profit via the add-on email marketing service. I won't make a loss in the future though)

Email Marketing to registered card holders: Starts at around £50 a mail shot not including the writing of the email (which I produce for around £25.00, underselling myself here but just trying to get some business at the moment to test my systems)

All of this is tied into a rather large control panel where I manage their other marketing needs. Here I do anything from SEO, Web Design, Writing, PPC Management, Offline leaflet distribution, design etc. Prices here vary depending on the client and what they wish for me to do.

I will keep this very generic.

I offer services that will make them more money than I cost them.

By finding businesses that can make an absurd amount of money from my expertise I can bill for value and I am not really limited in what I can charge.

Business owners do not care what you charge them, they care how much money you make them. I have often spent just a day looking at someones online business and plugged holes that increases their sales by tens of thousands of dollars monthly. It is only fair to be compensated in proportion to the results you can bring to the table.
