anybody got any tips on above question??

Here is the situation. I was hired to do SEO for 2 Keywords. Very competive international keywords. One keyword I have brought from obscurity to page 6 and the other still is not in the SERPS( although this one has very poor on page SEO)

Client insists I do not work fast enough, Is insistent I only build 1-3 links per day for each keyword, wants to know why were only at page 6.

I did not oversell anything. WHat would you do ? ANd how do you drop someone if it needs to be done

thanks!

Sure Mr. Business owner, I'll be happy to work faster. My rate of 200/month is now 800/month. You OK with that?

Mr. Business owner: But your charging me 4 times more to work 3 times quicker.

You: That's because you ask me to answer questions about situations I have no control over.

Either make worth your while to keep them or they'll move on based on your price increase.

This is why qualifying when they are a prospect and setting expectations is so important.

If you're going to argue, you want to argue at the beginning, BEFORE any money changes hands.

This is what I refer to as the ground rules for the relationship. They are as follows:
      1. I'm the expert, that's why your paying me.
      2. I'll listen to any questions, and even suggestions but because I'm the expert and "YOU" are paying me because I'm the expert I make all the decisions about your campaign. It's totally my discretion to run with something you may suggest.
      3. You agree to agree with my answers to your questions because you're paying me as the expert.

If you can't get a similitude of this in your business relationship you're just a commodity and VERY DISPOSABLE in your clients view.

The problem with being SEO expert is that there is loads of them advertising page 1 on fiverr:-)

Besides, why on earth would you build link without optimizing the page itself to the teeth??! Start with on-page SEO, add blog - disguised as news or offers or whatever to the site directly, under the same domain and often enough the whole thing just rank itself and client is happy.
Link building to poorly optimzed website is just madness. Don't make it harder on yourself than it should be!
