Retargeting as a service

How do those who offer this package it? is it as a stand alone or as part of your PPC package or an optional add on .

For those unsure I mean when you visit a site, it uses your cookies and then you visit other sites and see the original sites ads shown to you as you browse around the web.

    You can use it with direct mail too, sending them to a landing page where they'll be retargeted.

    I haven't done it personally, mostly because I'm not super familiar with retargeting. There's also some kind of initial amount of unique visitors you need before the retargeting kicks in.

    I first learned about it when postcardmania offered it Direct Mail 2.0® | Direct Mailing Services | PostcardMania (not an aff link)

    they're the only people I know who advertise the service.

    I do think it has a lot of potential, I just haven't put any action into it yet personally.

      You probably do post cards more than most people here, but from what I have seen, postcards that send someone to a landing page as a call to action is way less effective than having a phone number for them to call. Do you see different results?

      Most people who offer inbound services package retargeting in the monthly service.

        You're 100% correct, it's just that a lot of people do check out the website before calling, so retargeting would be certainly helpful.

        I do send a lot of postcards out but the large majority are not direct response. I have a lot of clients whom are simply printing/mailing customers.
