Should I Be Concerned?

PPC/SEM

I have a fairly new website and since starting to work on the site, I knew that I have to use PPC to drive traffic.

Yesterday, I was checking and I discovered that only a small part of the site has been indexed by Google.

Since I am using PPC, do I need to be concerned about Google not indexing all of my site?

Please note that I am not concerned about ranking in Google. I am only concerned about the site not being fully indexed.

Hi AlphaWarrior,

You do not need to be concerned about your non-indexed pages creating an issue on AdWords or other PPC networks. There is no requirement that your landing pages be indexed.

You should however, make sure that the Googlebots can crawl those pages as they do need to review each landing page before approving an ad that points at that landing page.

A simple solution to getting most, if not all, of your pages indexed is to provide an XML sitemap for Google to crawl.

I would also recommend linking your AdWords account and Google Webmaster Tools to a Google Analytics account. Having those all linked will give you some really valuable data and also alert you to any issues that need attention.
