How to get FB pixel to fire on button clicks? Help!

So the app I'm trying to market cannot use the FB SDK for tracking, so I'm trying to come up with a workaround to "halfway" track the effectiveness of my ads.

I'm having to send my visitors to a webpage where they can then click to visit the app store to download.

I want to be able to set up a FB custom conversion for when someone clicks the download button from the webpage.

I know it can be done, but all the info out there is very "techy" and/or very vague. Any help would be appreciated!

Have you looked into implementing Tag Manager? This should do the trick.

Tag Manager - a promising solution from Google that allows you to place custom scripts on the pages of the site without directly interfering with its code.

you want to fire when the user clicks on the button BUT not load on the visit right? you can do that... AdRoots platform can load any pixel on the click or visit, you just have to tell it when to load. it does make more sense to load it on the click as they are some what already interested.
