I haven't been on here for a while .. I also just started running ads gain on FB / IG.

From my understanding, specific locations / Cities who are targeted in the ad set , will target people who no only live in this city, but also have been there before !?

In my case, I'm looking to target Travel Nurses who are coming to Los Angles ( I know that's very specific ( but its just my clientele I'm looking for) Since it doesn't make sense to market to Travel Nurses in general my best bet is to try to show ads to travel nurses who are already in Los Angles or who have been determent by Facebook to have been there before , is that how it works ?

It is true that users who live in, have recently visited, or often travel to particular places can be targeted on Facebook and Instagram.

  • It will target the audiences who used to be there, is living there or even is going to be there. On target section, you could find some options to eliminate it.

Facebook doesn't track people who've been to a city before, but it can find folks who are currently in the area or just passing through. For travel nurses in LA, go with "People traveling in this location." This will target people in LA who live over 100 miles away, so you're probably reaching travel nurses. You can also add job titles like "travel nurse" and interests like "nursing" or "healthcare" to narrow it down. That way, you'll get the right people in LA, even if it doesn't catch anyone who already left.
