Resizing Pictures - Problem
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

I need to create images that are 125 x 125 for my blog but iam having trouble finding a program to convert the images i have to this size.

Maybe i should re phrase this, i need to create 125 x 125 banner ads.

What programs can convert images to this size ? Some need to expand while others need downsizing.

Thanks

Jason

G`day Jason,

Here`s a free trial of the software I use
... can do much more than resizing to

15 Day Trial Photo Kit

I`ve replaced a few tools for just this one
... there`s also a Photo Organizer ... both
are Windows software ... you may have to
"allow" the download. ENJOY!

Microsoft has a Power Toy for Windows that integrates into your computer called Image Resizer. It's been a while since I used it but I think it adds a command to the right click mouse. Install it and then right click the image and resize it. Its not anything like Paint Shop Pro or anything but it might help.

You can find it and other Power Toys here:

Thank you Houdy for sharing this link. I am a graphic designer and a power toys user but never saw this one. What a time saver when you just want a smaller or larger image.
Thanks great information.

I have been using this tool for about a year and love it. You don't have to download anything, and it is free. You can custom resize, create avatars, and even decide the quality of output. You just go online, upoad your picture, resize, and download to your computer. Here is the link. Just save an shortcut to your desktop.

Hi Jasonb25
I am using PIXresizer.

PIXresizer - Free Image Resizer
is a photo resizing program to easily create web and e-mail friendly versions of your images with reduced file sizes.

The reduced files are saved in a different folder, so your original images are not altered at all. PIXresizer offers several different resizing methods to choose from and can automatically recognize image sizes to calculate the best fit. In addition, it can convert between image formats (JPEG, GIF, BMP, PNG and TIFF), rotate images, convert to grayscale and resize multiple images in batch mode. A great companion for webmasters and digital photographers.

Options/Features
  • Simple Four-Step Workflow
  • Easy 'Apply recommended' option to make it even more user friendly
  • Works with single files as well as with multiple files all at once
  • Option to convert between graphics formats (.bmp, .gif, .jpg, .png, and .tif)
  • Can be used to create thumbnails (takes one move on a slider)
  • Smart Ratio Calculation (image proportions can be overruled by the user)
  • EXIF support, JPEG compression, TIFF compression, DPI settings
  • Runs on Windows 98/ME/NT4/2000/2003/XP/Vista
You can download this software for free at

www.bluefive.pair.com/pixresizer.htm

This is NOT affiliate link and I am not associated with this program in any way except as a user!

I can recommend this program

One of the handiest little free graphics tools I've ever used is Irfanview you get it here

IrfanView - Official Homepage - one of the most popular viewers worldwide

Just watch your aspect ratio when re-sizing.
