Depends on what affiliate program you are using. Some affiliate programs do not allow the trademark name of a product in the domain or as a keyword in an Adwords campaign, etc. But you should not...

If you used Market Samurai it would tell you an estimated "commercial value" behind the keyword, by looking at data on Google Adwords. Basically you would want keywords that have commercial value,...

Check and see if there are paid ads(adwords) on the keywords... If there are lots of stores paying to display for the keyword then you can bet they are making sales.
