Hi Guys

I am trying to figure out the best way to hardcode an affiliate Id into the prospects data using aweber.

I have got (and in the learing process of) JV Manager and was wondering if any one can give me a clue on how to do this, any particular things to look out for or just to let me know that this is at least the right track.

I am more of a designers then developer so any help appreciated.

Many thanks

If you are sending emails through aweber using the formatter section rather than the text section, then there is a link where you can put in your affiliate code and the user will not see your affiliate code. The link is the same button that you see in MS Word, or Outlook to add a link.

If you use the text version then they will see your affiliate code.

I tend to use cloaked domain names for my affiliate codes, for example, (I don't have enough points to post links so I have spread it out) www - ILoveGetAFreeLancer - com, that way I own the domain and it is a redirect using my affiliate code.

    Hope this helps.

      Thx Redlake

Forgive me I should have been more clearer.

I am trying to set up the affiliate side for others to promote my products as opposed to promoting other peoples products.

The question i asked was about attaching the leads/prospects that my affiliates send me with their affiliate ID hard coded in to the prospects data so when they purchase a product I can reward the affiliate with the sale

      Thanks for your reply though

Isn't that the sort of thing that 1shoppingcart does? I think you can still have paypal transactions with it and it connects and keeps track of aweber as well. You can allocate affiliate id's and 1shopping cart records and tracks the whole process. Who brought in what sales, what affiliate gets paid what.

Make sure you check it out first though as I only 'think' this is what 1shoppingcart does. I watched a video about it the other day.
