Developing a Google Chrome Plugin

Hi Guys,

I want to develop a Google Chrome Plugin, that retrieves data when logged into a Amazon page. As I am not a programmer, when I want to hire a programmer who will develop this plugin, what skills would I be looking for and what should be my budget?

Appreciate any help or suggestions.

    It all depends what you exactly want, but your programmer at least have to know Javascript(including jQuery library), HTML and CSS.

    With that knowledge there shouldn't be any problem to make a good Chrome plugin. For example I have service which will help you with Kindle Books Promotion. For that website I had to make plugin and some scrapers to get data from Amazon and I've made my Chrome plugin with only the knowledge I'm told you.

    Of course, for my website and other parts I had to know PHP, MySQLi etc., but that's not something you need.

    Your budget really depends on the plugin features and also on the experience of the programmer, because programmer with a lot of experience for sure already have a lot of customers, so the price will go up. That means, if we don't know features or the experience of the programmer, we(at least I) can't tell you what should be your budget.
