How long could it take to make an app?

This is a very basic question, just a thought I had today. Would any developers mind estimating how long it would take for each of these apps to be developed for iOS, rather it would be solo, or with a team.

Social Media:
Instagram
Pinterest
Twitter

Games:
Flappy Bird
Crossy Road
QuizUp

I am interested in developing apps, just wondering... Thanks

    Your large scale apps, like Facebook or Instagram, etc. are generally going to be worked on with a team collaborating together. Those types of apps/sites/programs also an take months if not years to 'perfect.'

    Something like Flappy Bird, I personally could do in like an hour while the coffee brewed. I'm exaggerating, but only slightly.

    Really, it just depends on your own personal skill level. Something that might take me a week could take my buddy two days.

      I think it all depends on your knowledge of programming and also, the amount of time you can dedicate each day. if you're a student in college,it'll prove very difficult, if you're free, then your app will be done in less than 3months!

    This totally depends upon the app you want to develop. if you are thinking of very complex app to build then it may take months or years to develop properly and if its a very small app then hardly it will take some weeks to finish. largely it depends upon the knowledge you have about a particularly language you are using to develop an app.

    In my opinion it depends on your app requirements and functionality you prefer to include. If the app is complex, then it would take more time may be two/three weeks. If it is simpler then within 5 days you can finish.

    It depends on the type of program that you want to write. If it's just a typical program without the right documentation it will take you a month. But if you make a program with a good programming structure like facebook. It will take you years.
