Hi, do you know an HTML editor (with WYSIWYG) similar to Dreamweaver that is cheaper or for free?

I know that Dreamweaver is a great program but I had read that is very difficult to canceled the adobe subscription thats why Im afraid to use it.

Any recommendations?

Thanks =)

    It can be difficult to cancel a subscription and unless you do a lot of work, you might not need it. have you tried googling free html editors? That would probably give you the current list of available free ones. they tend to come and go because it is hard to make money by offering free software.

      Quite true! However, the open source software model is really turning that idea on its head. For instance, WordPress is free software -- I realize it's not what the OP is looking for, but you catch what I'm throwin' down, right?

      Open source software, developed by the community at large is definitely a viable option. You can usually find a really great alternative to most commercial software too. So, to answer your question, I would recommend checking out KompoZer -- KompoZer - Easy web authoring

      Beyond that, just a few quick comments...
      • Check out Find Open Source Alternatives to commercial software | Open Source Alternative - osalt.com - which is site that lists Open Source alternatives to many well known commercial software products
      • Don't ever use Dreamweaver, because it's evil
      • Learn to code by hand and you will become a rock star - and you won't have to use any confusing HTML editors. You'll be able to code a site in Notepad, then once you get really good and want a better tool, you can start coding by hand using Notepad++ (https://notepad-plus-plus.org/) or Sublime Text (Sublime Text - Download) - then all the ladies will love you because of your killer coding skills. At least, that's totally how it happened for me.
      • Dreamweaver is evil (did I mention that?) because there's a good chance that it will make you a lazy developer - or it will just keep you from ever actually learning how to code yourself and that would be a shame

    dreamweaver is a good tool I have cs3 and it does not matter because you can connect get files edit then connect back online to put files back in then click refresh and your files should be updated easy.
