Developing WordPress theme for sale

Hi,

I am experienced wordpress developer and designer and now I am developing a wordpress theme for sale. I am currently focusing developing Review theme for sale where user can review products. But I am not very sure about that, I am interested in getting some feedback from you guys to know if I am going in right niche.

and what a review wordpress theme should have? I am interested in adding shortcodes, theme options, review schema etc.

also i am thinking to create genesis child theme first..

I want you guys give me suggestion should i develop child theme first and create custom wordpress theme.
