Sometimes platform specific developments are more expensive then a web site that is made highly responsive and easy to use. So you might want to consider to implement a web page that regards all the advantages a mobile app would have and it would be entirely platform independent.

The question is at what point? I am not a fan of "Responsive" or let me rephrase that... I am a fan of responsive for pc and tablet use... I prefer separate mobile builds for phone use ( as in mobile site ) The APP thing is far to dependent on downloads, and its hard to justify the expense vs the use... unless you are a big brand.

Responsive is a temporary fix to a bigger problem - how the different devices use and see a website. Responsive on Mobile ( phones ) is just a nightmare - terrible to use vs a website dedicated to the smaller screens, slower d-loads etc etc

Responsive across the spectrum of 3 device types should be used within tight budgets... Once you are building for brick and mortar or higher traffic sites, a separate mobile site - not an APP - to go along with the Responsive PC / Tablet site should be the next step.

An APP..should be an add to the already Responsive / Mobile site setup.

A bit more than just my 2 cents...its an industry standard once you get into business and corps and banks and the like - do a bit of searching there are many many many "m." sites.

Why would anyone create their mobile apps when the market is exploding with apps? There are so many languages and frameworks to pick from, so knowing which one is right for you can be challenging. We'll give you an overview of the 7 best languages for app development, from Swift to Kotlin. You will get comprehensive app development information here, from Swift to Kotlin.

    Python
It's cross-platform, so that you may build an app for iOS or Android without language switching. To create the perfect app with Python, you may use several libraries. Some of these libraries are Xcode (for iOS) and interface builder (for Android).

Objective-C (for both iOS and Android)
Objective-C combines object-oriented features with the capability to use the C language as a foundation. This language supports dynamic typing, partially typed objects, method parameters named in honor of the person who requested the service, and numerous built-in data types, including classes, structures, arrays, strings, and so forth.

    Java (for Android devices)
Since Java can run on any system with a JVM, it is portable across different platforms and operating systems. It can also do many things. Because you can create objects in Java that represent things or actions and use them to interact with other code, you can create a car in Java.

    Swift (for Apple devices)
Swift was created to become a versatile, modernized codebase for desktop and server applications. The language's syntax borrows heavily from Objective-C but includes many innovations.

    JavaScript
It is a high-level, interpreted programming language primarily employed for client-side scripting on web pages. The ECMA standardization committee has specified it. There are thousands of cross-platform programming languages (e.g., Java, iOS, Android). It isn't easy to find JavaScript-savvy developers.
