Tech Help Needed With Wordpress Blog!

Hi WF,

I have a little problem and am turning here for help,

I was installing a snippet of .php code of some autobacklinking software, nextgen links and now probs,

I cut and pasted the code to the end of the source code for wp-admin/admin-header.php I then saved the changes,

I tried to see if code was working and it wasnt,

then the next time I tried to login to wordpress, after logining in I get taken to the /wp-admin page but it is blank,

I then took out only the snippet of code so exactly as before and saved it, and still the same problem,

does anyone have ant idea why? it cant be that complex (except for me :confused: )

the files havent been renamed,

can anyone help or know who or where I should get help,

    I'd try re-uploading the original file "admin-header.php" by downloading Wordpress again from wordpress.org. You may have missed something when you removed your code, or cut too much. Give that a try!

      That is exactly what a friend told me aswell, and rekons that wordpress doesnt like spaces in the code,

        Hi Brian,

        It should be all taken care of now.

        I also added the snippet to the sidebar for you, it's the one called
        "Related Sites"

        To fix the blank page issue, I simply overwrote the old
        admin-header.php file with a new one.

        To add the snippet, I copied it and pasted it directly into your
        sidebar then I customized the link appearance using the customizer to match
        your sites design.

    No problem! Glad I could help. I've been coding for over 5 years and find myself in the same situation at times. Just remember to make a backup before you get to work. Next time it could be on something that you can't just re-download & upload.
