how to embed a WAV file?

I'm uploading an audio WAV file into a Wordpress blog post. But when it does it, it is done as an attachment, it is not imbedded for play. When the attachment is clicked it opens the audio file in Windows Media Player and that wasn't my intention. Does anyone have any expeience embedding audio? I would think it is no different than embedding video. I want the visitor to be able to click and play right from within the web page without any other application loading.

Warrior help please?

if I may suggest that you convert your wave file into an MP3...a much better audio format and then since you're using WordPress use this
    plugin:
    µAudio at compu.terlicio.us

Could you convert it to an swf (if you've access to flash)?

Why would you want to convert it into an SWF? You can just use a free flash MP3 player and embed it into your website so you can use it to play any MP3 file you like - SWF means: create a new SWF for every MP3 file as it contains the player itself.
