Wordpress Firewall Plugin - How Do I Install It?

So I was reading an old thread on here where someone spoke about this plugin, however, I can't seem to figure out how to install it.

If I understand the instructions on that page correctly, it just says to upload the wordpress-firewall.php file to my plugins directory, doesn't it?

I did that but can't seem to figure out what to do next.

    Hi Pat

Once you have uploaded it, "Activate" it from the Plugins menu - then you should see the Options Page by going to "Settings" -> "Firewall"

      Hi PJ,

The problem is it doesn't appear in the "plugins" menu so I can't activate it.

It's 100% in my plugins directory so I'm not sure why it's not showing up..

If it "appears to appear" in your /wp-content/plugins/ directory as a single wordpress-firewall.php file, then it may not have uploaded correctly - maybe delete and try again.

In your Plugins Admin panel - it should appear as "Wordpress Firewall"

          Ah, I figured it out.

I didn't realise you had to copy and paste all of that code and paste it in the .php file.

It doesn't make a lot of sense that they would give you a download link for the file but not have anything inside it. Oh well, at least it's sorted now.

          Thanks for your help.

The download link does contain the code OR you can copy & paste the code shown below the link and save it as a .php file.

Glad you got it sorted though

I downloaded the file and uploaded it to my directory. Upon opening it I discovered there was nothing inside it.

I didn't create the file myself..

Oh well. At least it's working now.
