Warriors... Help needed editing html code

Heres my situation. I have a website set up using Modx. I copied my text for the homepage from word over to the site. Everything transfered fine except the color and font size. The text editor I have installed is tinymce. The only problem is when I try to edit the color, no matter what I highlight it changes the whole paragraph. So I can't just change the color of a word or sentence like I want to. So what I would like to do is provide a knowledgeable warrior with the HTML code for my homepage and a word document for how I want it to look. That way you could make the changes. I am of course willing to pay you for your time. Please Help Me!

If I'm understanding you correctly, that's pretty easy with simple HTML. Send me the file.

I would suggest you do either one of the following :

      1. Take up mywebwork's offer, or
      2. Do the following :

Copy your text from word and immediately paste it into NOTEPAD.

Make sure you strip out all the formatting so that it is nothing but text.

MS Word is EVIL!!!! It has lots of horrible control characters in it, that will cuase you no end of problems in webpages. Even Word's export as HTML is rubbish!!

Once you have all the formatting removed, then copy and paste the contents of the NOTEPADS file into your MCE editor and format it in there.

Trust me, this will save you hours and hours of heartache!!

      Take care

      Bruce

pm sent mywebwork. Thanks Bruce for your help. I tried pasting into notepad then to the webpage but it still does the same thing. I wish I would have paid attention when I took that programming class in highschool!
