Getting Google stats for an application

Hi all,

I was in need of some information. Anyone know how to go about using the google keyword tool to obtain information for another application?

I know that google will charge you for an API and for each search, but products like Market
Samurai, they use google and you have to type in a captcha and there is a delay in the search between keywords so that google doesn't boot you for using too much band width.

So I know that you can do it, but can anyone explain to me how to do this?

    I think they way these other tools work is by simply "scraping" the Keyword tool screen.
    Parsing the data into their own app and redsiplaying that way.

    There is no other way to do it

    Does anyone else have any ideas on this or know what kind of programming it would take? I have heard that you can have an API code and then and API code that you have to pay for. Is this true?
