Wordpress Thumbnail issue, Please Help Me

I have a problem with wordpress site using a magazine style themes. The problem is with thumbnail. Thumbnail are not showing in any posts.

I tried googling the issue and found that we need to add a code : add_theme_support( 'post-thumbnails' ); in function.php file. I tried adding it at last of the file but still thumbnail didn't show though make it thumbnail appeared while uploading image.
I am just wondering, i didn't have any thumbnail issue with site World Of Female , i didn't do anything ...But having issue with any sites that i try to create now. I even tried installing wordpress 2.8 thinking that the issue may be only with wp 2.9 but still it didn't work.

Please help he. If there is any plugin lemme know. Or else where do i have to add code or how can i overcome with the issue ?

    It will depend on the theme on whether it shows the post thumbnail or not. The index.php file for the theme should have a has_post_thumbnail() if statement with a the_post_thumbnail function. Also, there is probably some css styling to go along with it. What theme are you using? Does it say that it supports post thumbnails?

    Hi superseo, can you post the link of your site having the issue you stated?. I have the same problem before since I also used magazine themes. The issue was solve when I manually uploaded the image and not just pointing the url of the image.

    Using your FTP tool, navigate to where your theme is intsalled.
    Then you will find a /tools folder, and under it you will find a /cache folder.

    So using your FTP tool, change the permission on your /cache foldeer to 777 and all should work..

    Dan, yes theme is moviemaker and newspro. It supports thumbnail.

    There is : img src="<?php viva(3000,'');?>" alt="<?php the_title(); ?> <?php _e('thumbnail'); ?>" align="right" style="border: 1px solid #000000; padding: 0px; margin: 15px 0px 10px 20px; width: 300px; height: 180px;"/>
