Best way to create a 2 step registration or opt-in form?

Hi warriors,

I'm looking online for the easiest way to set up a 2 step registration form or opt-in form, but am not having much luck.

The only information I did find on it included heavy coding and didn't complete the instructions because it was trying to sell me on a crm program.

Anyways, all I'm trying to do is have a simple Aweber optin form on one page (asking for name and email) and have another optin form on the next page that asks for the phone number, address, etc.

But, I'd like the first form to pass the data and prefill the name and email fields on the 2nd form.

Any ideas on how to do this?

    How big is your list? PHPList I think can do this, it's not aweber, but it's free and can be customized. If you have a small list, it works well.

      I had it taken care of a couple days.

      How I've done it recently is 1 registration page with 4-5 fields (name, email, verify email, password) + a checkbox [X] Get Updates

      Another option is to use some facebook XFBML code to get the registration for from facebook and add then just the checkbox [X] Get Updates
