$20 For Whoever Figures This Out First

Hey Warriors!

Here's a challenge for you.

The first one to post a solution to this problem in this thread will get $20 via PayPal from me.

My site Niche Finder has three Aweber forms on it that display perfectly in both FireFox and Chrome but in Internet Explorer, for some strange reason, there is a funky scrolling box in the second and third form.

Post your solutions here and the first post that fixes the issue, gets the $20.

      Your style tags should be in the head section of your html. You have it pasted three times different times in the body section. Probably wont fix it but it's something you should change.

        Thanks for pointing that out, removed the redundant styles and moved it into the head area but still didn't get rid of the issue.

          Stumped but one thing about your signup form. If you submit without an email address you get this popup message

          "Please push the "back" button on your web browser to fill in the missing information. "

          when in fact you need to close the popup.

            Hmm, that would have to be something on Aweber's side of things, they are forcing the new window to open and have the incorrect info on the error page.

    Scot,
    Increase the width of the form in Aweber and it will get rid of the scroll.


    When you're in the web form set up in the middle of the page you'll see the resize button beside the form, widen it and you should get rid of the scroll bar.

      Already tried that Sylvia, if that were the case the top one should also have the scrolling box wouldn't it?

    Why not just copy and paste the entire form that is working in place of the two that are "off"?

    The good code appears to be lines 31 - 128.

      That's what I thought too, tried that again and still get the scrolling boxes on the 2nd two forms.

    In your HTML source code:
    Find:

    <div id="af-form-710529086" class="af-form">

    and replace with:

    <div id="af-form-710529086" class="af-form" style="overflow:hidden; scrollbar: none;">

    I added
    style="overflow:hidden;scrollbar: none;"

    Because i don't know where your CSS is and i am sure somewhere there, widths are all messed up.


    this might be a TEMP fix. but i will look for permanent solution

    It cuts off half the button using that code above.

    I got it fixed so that the button appears normal by justifying the button and the email submit form.

    If you copy and paste that for the bottom two boxes it fixes it and shows the entire button.

    Correction:

    Add: style="overflow:visible;"

    to
    <div id="af-form-710529086" class="af-form">
    as in
    <div id="af-form-710529086" class="af-form" style="overflow:visible;">

    Your Problem is your button is wider than your text input. Buttons do not (i don't know why in IE) push DIV's width.

    You can manually set width to about 300px;

    or show overflow (visible)

    i can't use PM system yet, gotta pickup 40 some more posts.

    Please use "overflow: visible;" tweak because hidden tends to hide part of the button.

    Option 2:
    Also increasing width of that element as i stated in corrected version can also help.
    style="width:300px;"

    300 sounds about right, play around with width.
