Wordpress, Google maps integration. How?

I hope someone can help me. I've got a client that's
barking at my heels to get this done.

I've got a wordpress site built and I need a
page that has google maps on it that I can integrate
a list of people ( 443 people ) where there's an input
form beside the map that has "Find by city" or "Find by last name"
or something similar.

So when a person puts in a last name or city (perhaps some other
fields ) it will go to marker on google maps to satisfy that inquiry.

A plug-in would be best or a simple way of doing it. Maybe a
program free or paid. I just need to have it done soon.

I appreciate the help. If it's somewhat difficult I would pay
someone to do it for me.

There are a whole slew of Google Maps plugins for WordPress. Here's the search page at WordPress.org:

    Doesn't sound too hard.
You might encounter some rough patches here and there, but all-in-all, not that time consuming.

    1. Create a local database (or just a table if you've already got one)
Throw in serial, first_name, last_name, longitude, latitude, fill up your table.

    2. Get a Google Maps API key

    3. Pull out the PHP: create an input box for the user to enter the query. Throw in some if, then, else clauses, you know the drill.

    4. Now use a Wordpress Google map plug-in of your choice, I say go with Google Maps Made Simple, You should be able to automate the input of longitude and lattitude so it pulls it straight from your newly created database. It's entirely WYSISYG in this step, so it shouldn't be too bad.
