My pictures are gone!

PROGRAMMING

Hey everyone ,
firstly, i'd like to thank all those who have helped me in the past. But i have a nother problem which i wish the consult you on . Since 2 days ago , my pictures on the home page of my site has gone missing. It used to work out fine . i thought that it was because i updated my wp theme but i reinstalled the previous version and it still doesnt bring the pictures back . I am using a WP Crunchy Newspress theme. The link to my site is below . Please help me

Well I've taken a quick look...

This is what I can see in your source code where one of the images is meant to make an appearance
http://coolquirks.com/wp-content/themes/newspress-2.0.4/newspress/timthumb.php?src=http://coolquirks.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/cool-gadgets-and-fashion-for-men-SoloWheel11.jpg&w=576&h=172&zc=1

The image itself is there as I can view it via its direct link , without the rest of the GET vars.

When I try the url to the timthumb.php I get a "page not found".

So is the timthumb.php file actually living at...
/wp-content/themes/newspress-2.0.4/newspress/timthumb.php ?

All of your other images are direct Links to the image files, so that is why they show up.

When I run the similar link to timthumb.php on my test site
http://www.wp.com/wp-content/themes/...s/timthumb.php
( this is a local virtual website - it's not out in Internet land)
it comes up with "no image specified".

Which indicates that your timthumb.php file is either missing or something in .htaccess is blocking it!

You've not recently run any security plugins that have modified your .htaccess?

  hey there,
  i am so thankful for your help in trouble shooting the problem Tim. Heres the thing. I upgraded my WP version to 3.0.5 and this problem started to occur. i cant think of any other changes i made to the blog..
  today , i changed it back to 3.0.4 and the problem still persists. Well i checked the timthumb.php file and it was there like at the exact place specified .

  I don't understand why the images aren't showing.. i spent the whole day trying to fix the problem but i can't get it .. argghhh..

  1) the image is there
  2) I wants http://coolquirks.com/wp-content/the...s/timthumb.php which is in the 2.0.4 version of this theme. Is it there? No.

I would say that its possible the format is the problem or that in this case images from another folder or online source (like an url) might simplify the process. Your installation upgrade may just not run the needed code to support your pictures and it sounds like that is what is happening. Is it possibly a resize issue? You can test my installing another template without images and re-introducing the image containers in design mode, with appropriate reference to the image information input that way.

i think you accidentally deleted the file path of the picture so that it did not appear to your page.
try to check the file path.
