Wordpress plugin like WP Robot, but pulls from my target folder

I am looking for a wordpress plugin that auto posts from a directory of text or word documents. Similar to WP-Robot, Article Jackpot, or other autoblog but it pulls from a folder of articles uploaded to my server, rather than from other websites.
I have about 100 articles ready to go, but would like to avoid posting them individually...

I have tried Post Office, but that is a "one post at a time" solution.

Does anyone know of such a (preferably free) plugin?

thanks in advance

All of those programs sort of jack up the formatting UNLESS you've got some html code in the text file.

    Do you?

Otherwise you are probably better off doing it manually since you will be going in to edit each one anyway.

The ones that work of .doc files usually end up inserting ms formatting as well - which depending on your theme/css sheet can make things look horrible.

yes, I remember seeing a wordpress plugin to do that, but it was sort of about half way working, and it was not free, (but it was fairly cheap) one of the problems that I found when using this plugin, was that when it read from the uploaded folder, sometimes it would work right and sometimes, it would sort of mangle the entire thing, not sure why, never really studied it enough to really make it work right,

Seems like it was that guy he sells a lot of half baked stuff, in fact he just sold me some half baked stuff over this weekend, but the programming was so interesting, (even though it did not work right) that I bought it anyway just to see how it was put together.

It was worth what he sold it for if you examine what he did wrong that is.

I sort of hate it when you buy something and it does not work, but I digress, yes there are several plugins, that do this, and none of them worked out of the box.

I might be able to find it somewhere in the huge bin of stuff I have packed away.

Though I expect you would need to modify it to get it to work right.

let me know if your interested, and I will dig around and see what I can find.

Ed Chiasson's Slick Autoposter plugin and tools do something similar.

You create an RSS Feed from your articles or datafeed (with the tools provided - csv2rss) - on your local drive. You then use the slick autoposter plugin to add them to your blog via schedule. Works pretty well

He sold it as a WSO a while ago and am unsure if it is still available (I bought a copy) - his WF name is: sparrow

        Thanks for the suggestions.
I have now about about 40 video clips then lots of articles that are ready to go.
I am going to try just creating an rss for now, and posting that way.
        Otherwise, it is Post Office..

I guess I could just focus on getting a few up each day as well : )

Tim - I would love to see the code for that if you ever come across it. Thanks

    Hi
I had a plugin developed for uploading text files - 'cause I tried many but could not find one that worked well.
Will only do text files - tho will read html just as any post in wordpress will
eg if you have a link to a youtube video in the text file the video will display on the post/page.
We looked at doing word docs but put it in the too hard basket in the end - far too many variables to deal with -
    cheers
    Danny
