Make PDF not downloadable

I am building a membership site for a client in PHP. One of the requirement is that the PDF's should be printable but not downloadable. Any idea how to do it?

Any and all suggestions are welcome!!

    not possible.

    because you can always print anything to file even if you use javascript to hide that "save as" button.

    You can copy the script use by scribd[.]com it called the xpaper, and also use by docstoc, calemeo and issuu.

    Well - it has to be 'downloaded' to be printed, so I think you're tilting at windmills here. AFAIK, there is no security setting in PDF that prohibits saving - copying, printing, page extraction, yes - but simple saving, no.

      Maybe PDF isn't your best choice here. Try going with something else such as HTML pages. Easy, quick to integrate, and you view them vs. download them by default.

      I hope you find what you are looking for.
