Hi,

Can you tell me if I can take a Youtube video and have it played on a tv via a video recorder?

How would I do it?

Hey, I would imagine, you would just download the you tube video. If there isn't an option to download it, there are tons of free you tube softwares that will download you tube videos.

Then you would just burn it to a disc.

  The youtube video can be sent via email and can be embeded.
  
  So I presume it can be downloaded.
  
  Once downloaded and burnt on to a disc, what sort of player is needed to be seen on tv?
  
  I'm a total tech dummy as you can tell.

just burn it into dvd format and you can use your DVD player to play it
