This might get me into trouble, but hopefully they'll be understanding...

Does anyone on the WF do contract/by the job programming?

    shouldnt get you in trouble. but you might have more luck if you outlined the job that needed doing.

    Otherwise sites like earner.net, odesk, elance, scriptlance are full of these types of people.

    Yes, in fact from reading your post I'm not even 100% sure what you are asking.

    Do you have a task for a programmer whom you would like to hire on contract? If so then a post in the Help Wanted section with a job description would be a good place to start. Wanted - Members Looking To Hire You

    Or are you asking the question because you are a programmer yourself and want to know if there are other members who would hire you on contract, or want to compare experiences with other programmers who work on contract? If that's the case then I may be able to comment further as I've spent decades as a software developer doing exactly that.

    Perhaps you could clarify your question a bit?
