hi sorry for the noob question but how do i install a php file on my web hosting?
well i use ipage hosting

    No noob question dear.
    However I would like to understand if you are trying to install php or just trying to upload a php file. If it's only a php file, did you try checking there knowledge base.

    They do have an article on php, try Help Center -> Browse Knowledgebase ->Scripting ->Using PHP

    Let me know if it doesn't help.

      it's just that i want to upload a tool to my website, and i have found what you said but still don't know how to do it, it's just confusing

    Maybe this will help.

    1: Use a FTP program to upload the files to your host
    2: Go to the directory where you uploaded the files in your browser.
    (http://your domain dot com/your uploaded file directory/ your uploaded file name dot php)
    If the file are on your main domain (http://your domain dot com/your uploaded file name dot php)

    This will start that php file or installation.
