Hi,

Do any of you know how to have http://www. as a prefix to a website name in the URL, without modifying the .htaccess file. I ammended the .htaccess file but it came up with an 'infinate loop' of redirections between the "none www." and "www." URL.

Any help really appreciated!

Thanks

    Hi MZ,

My guess is that you made a typo in your .htaccess. Do you want to post it here to get some input, as this is the way to go.

Alternatively, you don't mention what platform you're using. If it's Wordpress, then you can simply set the site to automatically use the www. prefix.

    Hope this helps!

It would depend on your server's configuration and the .htaccess file.

Go to Settings -> General -> WordPress address (URL)

if the "Site address (URL)" is filled in, either make sure it matches or remove it, unless you have reason to do differently.
