Importing Facebook Images into Website Personalization Tool

Hi

I print customers own images onto a number of different products. I am looking to get a new site built which will enable prospective customers to upload their Facebook photos into my online design tool.

I have just noticed today that SnapFish now have this ability, as well as importing photos from Flickr.

In fact, from Facebook you can load up your own FB photos and the contents of your friends photo albums (I guess they must be those which have the correct privacy settings to allow this).

I read somewhere also that it is possible to download the high res version of the image which was originally uploaded to Facebook's server. Just wondering if anyone can confirm if this is also possible - the higher the res the better of course!!

I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience of doing this with a Facebook App/API and would maybe consider sharing some details as to how it's done.

If you are a coder who could develop this part of my site please feel free to PM me with info/approx cost

Many thanks!

Phil

    Hi Phil!

Yes this is still definitely possible, you will just need the user to grant or allow the proper permissions to your app. I have done this in the past, is there anything in particular you are having trouble with as far as the FB API?

Feel free to shoot me a PM
