Swapping WP from one domain to another

Not sure if this is right place to ask this, but please can anyone tell me how I can swap a complete WP website from one domain to another.

I'm a bit of a technical dunce but I'm sure that it is a simple thing to do .

Thank you

Karen

I think it is quite easy. Setup a new WP in the other domain. Export from existing WP and then Import to the new WP.

Ah, but not being too good at technical stuff - how do I export and import?

I can set up WP, deal with ftp and even know a bit of html but anything outside my limited technical skill scares me. I really don't want to lose the work that I have put into building the site.

As I said, I know it is simple but I have no clue how to do it.

      Thank you

hi Karen, if you are not moving the blog from server, then you can simply (depending on your setup) just point the new domain to the same server (if you are using a shared hosting with cpanel the option is called "park domain") and just change your domain in the wordpress panel

if you plan on move from server then just install a new wordpress in the new server and install the plugin "wordpress move" in both sites, it has a pretty easy to follow wizard, and you will be able to move everything very quickly

          Brilliant - thanks for that!

          Even I can manage that
