PROGRAMMING

Questions: I have been looking for an easy to implement solution to these forms you see online that if a field is entered matches a criteria for example how long you lived where you are? if under 2 years bring show a second questions then where was your previous address..

are these being done with php or ajax/java

anyone know what I would search for find tutorials?

JotForm would probably work as well. You can use conditions. Everything is drag & drop.

Solidsoul, what you are asking about can be referred to as a multistep form. You can use PHP combined with javascript to code the form. I found jquery - retain show / hide div on multistep form - Stack Overflow and How to Create A Multi-Step Signup Form With CSS3 and jQuery | webexpedition18 which might help you.

If you have WordPress I can recommend the Gravity Forms plugin - there's a mini review in the plugins link in my sig - it's easy to use but can do the advanced stuff you're looking for.
